How severe is the racial wealth gap, and how significant an impact does it have on the ability for different demographics to purchase home? Unsurprisingly, a huge one. 

I worked with a couple datasets taken from the US Census Bureau's open source site to complete this project, and wanted to take the opportunity to experiment a bit with the types of visualisations I (successfully or unsuccessfully) integrate to amplify meaning. The use of bubbles to represent % homeowners of each demographic over time does indicate help demonstrate the general inequalities between different racial groups, but fails to represent any sort of change over time due to the difficulty the human eye has distinguishing circle sizes. 

Although only moderately successful, I am proud of my expanded thinking in this project, as well as my ability to reflect on its faults in order to better shape my future practice.
